Well, well. This is your old friend Kent back again, fresh from receiving his Mother Tongue A Level results. I've got an E grade...... how disappointing, cos' I've been expecting a better grade like A or B or even C all along. For all who have E and above, congratulations to you all. And for all who got U grade, never mind, you have done your best, and don't let anybody tell you any different. Just try your best and good luck for your second attempt at receiving a better grade for A Level Mother Tongue this year. Well, I think this creates a better reason for another class outing during the March holidays, that is, to honour all who passed A Level Mother Tongue. So, any ideas? dear S6,
i would like to stress on the issue of punctuality.
please don't be conceited just because mrs christina tan said that our class are relatively all right on attendance and disciplinary issues, Arini and i have been very lenient regarding late-coming matters.
you're to be at the assembly plaza at 7.30AM, i repeat, school starts at 7.30AM.
i know that mr lee said that you'll only be marked late if you are late for the first lesson, however, you must remember that there are many teachers watching, we can't always cover up for you guys forever, you know.
if we were to be strict, some of you would have probably gotten a warning or even a parents' call already.
im sure nobody in our class wants a fair conduct grade right?

another thing.
we NEED more discipline in our class.
seriously, not as if some of you are born yesterday or what.
when its lesson time, group discussions and such, please.
when its time to be serious, be serious, pay attention and cooperate.
there's always a time to do work and a time for play, don't overdo it.
when the teacher is talking, or a classmate is answering a question or making an announcement, please maintain silence, and listen.
if this happens again and again without any attempt to change, a fine will be imposed on the person/people who talks/did not pay attention.
besides that, when our fellow classmates, e.g. Class Reps/Subject Reps are making an announcement, in order to make sure everyone gets to hear what is being announced (especially when it concerns the class), shut up, be considerate.
i believe that you won't like it when people don't listen to you when you're about to make an important announcement right..?

next thing.
be responsible.
when tutorials, assignments, file checkings, etc, are due, try your best to pass up ON TIME, please don't drag it week after week and make the teachers chase you and blacklist you, it spoils the class's image and reputation that the teachers have of us.
and also, subject reps and class committee, please cooperate with the class and the teachers.
there is an extent that you can help your classmate cover up for, if they still do not hand up their homework, let them get punished, they deserve it. not that im being mean.
and class, please cooperate and take initiative.
when you have forms to hand up/ class fund that you have been informed of but yet to pay, please GO and find the teacher/ treasurer YOURSELF, don't wait for them to push or nag at you.
we are oweing the bookshop quite a sum of money now, in case if you don't know.
so, please cooperate. (:

06/05, Tuesday: GP Comprehension Test from 11.30AM-1.00PM @ B4-6; Physics SPA. Get ready your Physics Theory file with all papers filed in.
08/05, Thursday: Kinematics Test
09/05, Friday: H2 Math Lecture Test on Chapters 7, 8, 9.
for week 9, there'll be a Chemistry SPA, Skill B & C, held during practical period @ Chemistry and Physics Lab 4 on 16th May if im not wrong..
do note to bring along your NRIC/ez-link card, writing materials, calculator, and strictly NO correction tape/fluid is allowed.

I will try to speak up more and be more sociable with the class next time. I know some of u guys have some qualms with me. Some have been honest, some still avoid. I hope u guys can be just frank with me. I don't mind really. I will not scold, attack, ignore the comments. I will study the problem and give it due constructive respond ok?

As for my emo problem as you guys have been thought i have been crying or whatever. For me, i know that some of u guys will feel im being a drama papa or showing for weakness. I hope u guys know that there is alot of pressure on me than more than u guys. I hope u guys will undestand. I handled this way more professionally in future i promised but i need to let the tension off. I don't play games like some of u guys or have a gang of people to talk to or chat about. okay for the sake of vincent, i shall update earlier before he sleeps @ 10.30PM.
1. Please note that the PI draft is due tomorrow. (and i bet everyone's chionging it now :D)
2. Complete the Physics Practical and submit during tutorial tomorrow. (check for precision, anomalous points, precautions, validity statement, etc. we don't want corrections/re-corrections do we? :D)
3. For H1CL students, remember to bring your dictionary (book/electronic) to do your 作文 tomorrow. Also note that it has to be completed by the end of tomorrow's lesson and handed up to Mr Lee.

I've added a discussion on Class Chalet in the 1S06 friendster group, please contribute your suggestions, appreciate it. :D
For those who don't have/do not use friendster, I'll update it some other time on the blog, (since it's still long).

1. There will be a Math test on Monday on Partial Fractions. (Yeah it's 1 question, but perhaps he might have some tricks up his sleeve.)

2. Please complete your Chemistry Assignment 1, and hand up on Monday.

3. There will be Econs make up lessons for those not in PAE, on 27/03 and 03/04, both thursdays @ Inner Space, the Library.

4. There will be a Math Lecture test about 1 week later, on Partial Fractions, Binomials and Trigo.

5. There will be a 10mins short quiz during Chemistry tutorial period on 27/03, thursday.

6. There will be a Chemistry Lecture test on 31/03, Monday, on the topic Atoms, Molecules and Stochiometry. It'll be a 6-7 questions paper, 30 marks. Do remember to bring your own calculator and periodic table.

7. There will be a Physics Lecture test about 3-4 weeks later, on a Thursday morning, on Measurement and Kinematics.

1. Math Tutorial 1 - Partial Fractions was due today.

2. There's GP tomorrow, so please get your A5 size Vocabulary Logbook for GP ready, and do your essay outline that's assigned to your group today, it's due tomorrow,18/03.

3. PW handout that was given today, pg 8,9, is due tomorrow, thats 18/03.

4. GP diagnostic test will be this Thursday, be prepared.

5. Remember to come back to school this Saturday for Chemistry Practical session, 9AM.

This is the FIRST entry of the blog! :D
This blog would be like a diary, a collection of events of what happened and all the fun and laughter we shared.
The good times, and the bad times.
So here we go.

We had our class bonding orientation on the 10th and 11th of March, and our OG's Orion 3!

On Monday, which was the 10th, we had an 'Amazing Race' walk around the area within the school's walking distance, however we were denied the chance to play the 'Rah-Rah Games' due to the rain. D:
Thus we had wet weather programme, consisting of House Games (remember the attack and defend moves?), House Meeting, and not to forget, College Dance.

On Tuesday, which was the 11th, we had majority water games (that is, excluding the presence of the rain).
At our first station, we had to fill up a styrofoam box that had many many holes, and we had a hard time trying to fill it! D:

Some unglam news: Adam used his shoes to fill water and pour it into the styrofoam box! i have no idea why there was a tadpole inside the box though.

Following up we had some water maze games, (they were called water games cos we'll get water-bombed).
We also had 2 games that required us to be blind-folded, which was quite dumb actually, imho. (in my humblest opinion)
Again, we had College Dance before lunch, followed by House Meeting, House Games, Grand Finale (where the PLs- thats Hafiz and Ibrahim, get to perform) and ended with College Dance.

Through this awfully short orientation, indeed our class has bonded quite alot.
Well i won't say everyone, but majority, participated and enjoyed.
It's definately essential to be bonded as a class, we have to spend a year or 2 together, why make things difficult for yourself?
Furthermore, there's like PW and stuff coming up, with a bonded class we can work towards a common goal. (thats to get to uni right? but promos first :D)

So.

1.Please note that there will be GP on Monday, so remember to bring your GP resource book AND your dictionary, or else you will have to stand throughout lesson. D: (which is something we don't want right?)

2.Reminder for those who haven't got their Individual Working File(IWF) for Project Work: please get your file with the PW handouts ready for Monday's PW lesson. (we don't want Mr Lo to get disappointed with us again..)

3.There is H1 Chinese on Monday, so remember to do your Chinese composition.

4.Remember there's PE on Monday, bring along your secondary school PE attire even though you're not feeling well.
